First… Tac 1 thru Tac 9 are no longer in use by Brandmeister. They are trying to keep the USA talkgroups in accordance with the MCC protocol and 8951-8959 are not.

They want us to stop using them and are implementing TAC 313 – 319 instead.

Some other changes we have considered to help keep uniformity on the DMR networks is to use TG 2 as our First Coast Talkgroup. TG 2 has always been used as a local TG or a Local Network TG. The Repeater Owners/Admins for Kingsland, Jax North, Jax South, Orange Park and Jesup have decided to adopt this change. When you are on any of these repeaters please use TG2 for First Coast. Jacksonville Metro and Jacksonville Beach have NOT changed.

The First Coast TG 31121 will still work on any other repeater and hotspot just as it is now. TG 31121 is ported over to the Brandmeister Cluster on Server 3108. The only changes you need to make using the repeaters mentioned above is use TG2 (labeled as Local 2) on your radios.

Also, already discussed is the TG change for NE FL ARES. TG 3112904 has been changed per Brandmeisters request to TG 31128.

Using this new TG scheme will open up one other spot in your zone.. for radios with the 16 channel limitation per zone.

Codeplugs will be changed over soon and will be available for download.

1. Read the radio with the software.

2. Under Digital Contacts: look for the ARES Group Call and change it from 3112904 to 31128. Rename TG2 or Local 2 Group call to Local Network
